Ramata Doray
Resident Intern
Ramata is a graduate student in Marriage and Family Therapy at Iona University, bringing a compassionate, curious, and thoughtful presence to her work with individuals, couples, and families. Her passion for helping others stems from a lifelong curiosity about human experiences, relationships, and the ways our histories and interactions shape who we become. Having navigated the challenges of moving to a new country as a teenager, learning a new language, and balancing academic and work responsibilities, Ramata brings a personal understanding of resilience, identity exploration, and life transitions.
Ramata’s approach is systemic, culturally sensitive, and client-centered. She is committed to creating a judgment-free, collaborative space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported as they explore themselves and their relationships. Ramata brings empathy, curiosity, and intentionality to every therapeutic interaction, and values social justice, anti-discrimination, and LGBTQ+ affirmative practices.
